Lynch statement on Carcieri criminal wrongdoing investigation

PAWTUCKET - Rhode Island Democratic Party Chairman Bill Lynch issued the following statement today regarding the State Police investigation of criminal wrongdoing within the Carcieri Administration.

“Governor Carcieri may have pulled off the most successful fraud ever perpetrated on the Rhode Island electorate. He campaigned as a big shot CEO with a plan to solve the state’s fiscal problems, but after more than five years on the job, the fact is he has no control of the rampant incompetence within his own administration and that’s undeniably part of the reason our state is nearly half a billion dollars in debt,” Lynch said.
